BLACK SABBATH With ROB HALFORD: Camden Video Stills Posted Online

November 4, 2004

The BLACK SABBATH fan site Black Sabbath Live Project has posted a number of still captures from a pro-shot film of SABBATH's historic performance with Rob Halford (JUDAS PRIEST) on August 26, 2004 at Ozzfest in Camden, NJ. Check them out at this location.

Commented Black Sabbath Live Project's webmaster Robert Dwyer: "I had the unique privilege of viewing a complete one-song sample from this video. As you can see from the stills below, the quality is unquestionably excellent. The stills really don't do it justice, but you can at least judge the clarity.

"This uncirculated film was mixed direct from the multi-cam feeds that were done for Tweeter Center's video projection screens. 'Children of the Grave' begins with a lot of scenery shots of graveyards and tombstones. Shortly before the second verse, they finally cut to Halford singing. Rob sounds a little rough around the edges by this point in the set, as this was the 2nd to last song. Regardless, it's a wonderful moment to witness, especially the final closing shots of the song when Tony and Geezer extend their arms to acknowledge their very special guest for the evening.

"SABBATH collectors have been begging for any recordings of the Camden 2004 show since it was first known that Halford covered for Ozzy at this one very unique concert. I can assure you that your expectations will have been exceeded once you finally do get to view this film. I don't have any details on when exactly this film might be released, but I do think it may surface on DVD+R within the next 2 or 3 months. We'll just have to wait and see!"
